We will be hosting our first ever writer’s workshop. We are writers and we are most definitely are readers. Janine Musser has collaborated with the fiction writer and Director of the English Department’s Creative Writing Program at University of Kentucky. We look forward to the event and hope for many more to come. This land inspires pen to paper for the flow of the written word.

We will be hosting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Fundraising Hike in the Red River Gorge. This will be their first year doing the hike in the Gorge, but if it is successful, it could be an annual event. This event will be April 12-13, 2014. We will be having a chili dinner on Saturday evening, followed by a bonfire. Sunday, we will lead them on a 14 mile hike through the lovely Red River Gorge.

We will be holding our annual Sparks family reunion this Spring. We have Sparks all over the country that come together to reminiscence, eat good food, laugh and hug. We are not sure which is best; the food or the hugs. It will be a great day to celebrate our family connections.
